Presently, we extend an offering to the global market of up to 1,200 tons per month, delivering a meticulously packaged product tailored to customer specifications. This includes customized design, colors, established formats, and the incorporation of the customer's own brand.

We provide quotes based on Free On Board (F.O.B.) terms. From Asunción, we also offer competitive quotes with the best Cost and Freight (C&F) options in collaboration with shipping companies that routinely handle our product transportation. We prefer payment through Irrevocable and Confirmed Letters of Credit in First Line Banks. Additionally, we accept payment via Bank Transfers and are open to negotiating other forms of payment for your convenience.

Raw material for production

The wood utilized originates from our proprietary farms in the Paraguayan Chaco. These sources adhere to forest management plans and road openings, possessing all the requisite official records from the Forestry and Environmental Administration of the country.

The production of Natural Charcoal is made from hardwoods, with a high calorific value. The wood that is most in demand among our customers is the White Quebracho.
The bulk of the production is carried out in a semi-artisanal way, in clay brick kilns called half orange, which allow a degree of carbonization to be achieved. The entire process spans eleven days, with a standard conversion ratio of 3 cubic centimeters of firewood resulting in 1 cubic meter of charcoal.

We practice prudent utilization of wood from our Chaco-based farms, annually yielding approximately twenty thousand tons of Quebracho Blanco. This output consistently meets the stringent quality demands of the international market. The coal is transported to our industrial plant in Benjamin Aceval, situated 20km from the Port. Here, it undergoes meticulous selection, processing, and packaging in paper bags with varied weight specifications destined for export to European markets including England, Turkey, Spain, Israel, Chile, Uruguay, Germany, France, Poland, Portugal, the United States, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, among others.
Coal dust is repurposed through a transformative process into briquettes boasting a high calorific value, aligning with the rigorous standards set by export markets.

High calorific value coal

We assure the delivery of top-notch quality coal—devoid of sparks and carbon inconsistencies—with precise weights verified by electronic scales. Our shipments are tailored to meet the specific requirements of each customer, whether it be palletized or in loose form.

Our offered coal boasts a remarkable calorific value of up to approximately 7,800 kcal. It is tailored to meet the diverse requirements of our customers, featuring various grain sizes including 20 to 80 mm, 20 to 60 mm, 30 to 120 mm, 40 to 120 mm, and 60 to 120 mm with a tolerance of ±10%. Our coal maintains a humidity level of less than 8%, an average density of approximately 350 kg per m3, and adheres to international standards, such as DIN 51.749.

These kilns facilitate a carbonization degree ranging between 60% and 65%, on average. The process spans seven days, adhering to a standard conversion ratio of 3 tons of firewood resulting in one ton of charcoal.
The resulting product is a high-calorific-value coal, possessing characteristics that align with international standards, such as the DIN 51.749 standard.

In pursuit of this goal, all agricultural and fodder crops are cultivated using the no-till system. The company monitors the chemical and physical parameters of the soil through a continually updated database, ensuring sustainable and responsible agricultural practices.

Use of the latest technologies available

The implementation of precision agriculture is a key practice, enabling a more efficient utilization of inputs such as fertilizer, seed, pesticides, and soil resources. This approach generates distinct economic margins and enhances the overall sustainability of the agricultural system. Geo-referenced soil samplings are carried out by environment, diagnostics and specific fertilization plans for each nutrient, crop and site. The use of yield maps facilitates the evaluation and quantification of both productive and economic outcomes throughout the campaign. This tool is instrumental in analyzing tests conducted within the distinct environments of each batch.

Production of Specialty Crops

A dedicated focus is directed towards the development of special products, particularly in the case of soybeans and high-yielding corn. These crops possess distinct market characteristics compared to commodities, making them attractive for diversifying the agricultural system. Efforts are underway to establish the groundwork for the future planning and implementation of organic crop cultivation.

Livestock

The company undertakes the development of its own livestock stock and implements a steer fattening program to optimize pasture utilization. These practices adhere to traceability and health requirements mandated by health authorities.

High-quality cattle

The company operates rearing and finishing establishments dedicated to this activity, where the foundation of the diet consists of pasture and is supplemented with a ration of grains and by-products to ensure the necessary protein intake. In our breeding fields, we maintain high-quality cattle herds achieved through an intensive selection program guided by the following criteria: Fertility, Development, Conformation, Hardiness, Docility, Adaptation to the environment.

Genetic superiority

Paben Group S.A. produces fully acclimatized cattle, with pasture-fed herds, standing out for its proven genetic superiority.

Concerning the animals presented for slaughter, certain steers are produced with a pasture-based finishing approach. They attain early maturity with commendable finish, exhibiting excellent performance in cuts of higher value. These steers also showcase favorable attributes such as marbling, tenderness, and palatability in their meats. For these reasons and their flexibility with respect to the finishing weight, they are intended for both export and the domestic market. It is marketed directly with the most demanding slaughterhouses in terms of quality.
